Gold Beach Retreat

I've stayed at this motel for a women's retreat and had a wonderful time. The rooms were nice and the beach is right off your door. Retreats are a lot of fun to go to. It allows you time to get caught up on projects, sleep/rest, girl time and time away from your normal day activities. You will come back rested and ready to take on the world.

With CHA right around the corner, we are getting sneak peeks like crazy. I've always been a fan of Precious Moments and this new stamp reminds me of it. I love how Tracy Harp with Stampavie has colored this image and popped the hat up with paper piecing. I can't wait to see more!

Michelle's Togetherness Album

I will be teaching this Mini Album on February 25 from 11-5, The cost is $35.00. I'm having this book after Valentines day so it will allow you to take pictures of that smoochy day and use them in this album. I really like black in white pictures, but bring the pictures you love. The front may vary as I don't have tons of that particular sticker anymore. I made this as a gift for my son and his new bride and everyone thinks it should be a class. So here we go.....

I've used Echo Park's Yours Truly line. I love the way the red, black, grey and white come together in this album then top it off with two of my favorite people, "it is perfect!".

You will need to bring the basic supplies to class and then anything special that you think you might want to add to it. I will teach sewing (this is my new hang up), distressing, stamping, and a cool technique Tammie taught me this last weekend.

In this class we will make a cute fold up book using chipboard and patterned paper. We will fully embellish it, add ribbon, flowers, stickers, bling and some pictures if you want to bring them along as well! This is a great book for the Valentine or Love in your life!

Hi everyone, one of my New Years Resolution was to make sure I teach at least one class per month. So here we go. I've made a wall hanger featuring my oldest son Jake and his new wife Amy. I've used Cricut's Word Collage for my project. In this class, you will learn how to die seam binding, work with crafty sparkles, sew on projects and use the new Epiphany punches.

My class will be January 21 from 11 - 3. The cost will be $15.00.

Hey there, Cami and I had a lot of fun at the make-n-take last weekend! Thanks for coming and hanging out with us!

I'm popping in this morning to share pictures of some upcoming classes. All three classes will use Our Craft Lounge stamps from their new Valentine release. The first two classes use the set called Smooth Sailing.

During this class, you may get a little inky because we'll practice sponging with multiple colors. Check it out...we're going to be finishing the insides too!

The second class uses the sailboat image. We'll be going out-of-the box with a Nestie for this one! It's an awesome technique that I'm sure you'll love!

Here's the inside...

Both classes will be on Saturday, January 14. The first class will be from 11am to 2pm and the second will be from 2pm to 5pm. The cost is $15 each or if you want to spend the day with me, $25 for both.

Studio Directions!

The new studio will be at 62922 Shriners Road, Coos Bay. I will post driving directions on our website so at anytime you will be able to locate the studio. Driving Directions: Go south of town past DMV and the Englewood Market. You will follow Southwest Blvd to a fork in the road. There you stay left on Shinglehouse Slough Road. Go up that road and turn left on Woodruff Road. Go until you see a concrete sign that says Moriah Estates, turn left onto Shriners Road. My home and studio is the first house on the left. The house is grey with a grey shop.

I get the Stampavie newsletter and I saw this example that Moon Hulsman did. I like the idea of a tag topper using their adorable stamps. Since it is Christmas time, get out your Scor Pal and make all kinds of boxes for your gifts then stamp and color cute tags for them...... Sounds like a lot of fun to me.....

Welcome Sign

Saturday, I put together this “Welcome” banner for my oldest son and his new wife. I wanted to make sure he had a welcome sign in his house so he couldn’t say I couldn’t come and see him. LOL! Honestly, he is trying to get us to come and see him and his new home.

As you all know, I love my Accucut machine and its dies. I used the banner die to cut out the acrylic from Clear Scraps. I’ve wanted to use Little Yellow Bicycles Elizabeth Park’s line so I took this opportunity to use it. Gotta love my new daughter in law! I ended up using three sheets of Birds on a Vine. I actually had a lot of extra paper left over; however, I wanted the double line across the bottom of paper. I cut the Bazzill cardstock and chipboard using my Accucut and outlined the letters with Ranger’s Stickles. I put the letters aside so the stickles could dry on the letters then distressed the edges of the banner with a Brillance Dew Drop. I found some old rubs on in my collection of extra scraps and dressed them up with more Stickles. I then added the Prima Flowers and beautiful butterfly to the banner and topped it off with more rhinestone bling. I punched my holes in the banner and tied the teal ribbon on it.

I’m kinda new to this instruction thing so let me know where I need to make improvements.

Hello everyone! On Saturday, January 15, we'll be making a 3D Valentine Treat Box with Tammie (you choose which of the three to make). It's perfect for giving candy, jewelry or a little trinket to someone special. We'll be using images from Our Craft Lounge, Copic markers, Stickles, Glossy Accents and Distress Inks so expect to get a little dirty! Tammie will introduce you to her favorite sponges and show you how to tweak them for the best control and in case you struggle with bows, she'll also show you an easy bow tying technique. Class starts at noon.

Hello Stampers!

Kisa and I will be at Memories of Time Friday, October 22nd for our monthly OCL class! We start at 6:00 pm! Kisa has come up with another super fun class!

We'll be making four cards with one of the trees from the stamp set Tweet Trees. You cannot see all the cool detail in these cards! Learn how to dry emboss to make images pop from the page, and to add Sparkly Fluff and Chunky Sparkles for dimension. Of course, you'll also be shading and coloring with Copic markers.

Don't you love it when your kids get last minute invites to parties and say, "Hey Mom, I need a card!". No worries.... just grab some paper and the OCL stamp set called Big Birthday Wishes! I had so much fun making this quick card for my son to take to a birthday, that I quickly cut a few more pieces of paper with my Spellbinder die and stamped some more sentiments so I could have more birthday cards

on hand. I used the paper pack from BasicGrey collection called Marjolaine, some brown Bazzill and Neenah white. The punch is from Ek Success.... one of the edgers I picked up from the store. I add some paper piercing and sponging around the edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink and it was good to go!

Here's one more I threw together... a little more girlie. I used Glazed brads from BasicGrey and the pop out dies that came with the paper kit. Big Birthday Wishes.... Michelle has it down at Memories of Time! It's a birthday must have stamp set. *wink*

Kisa and I are cooking up a special class in August! We'll be focusing on coloring with Copic Markers, learning about shading, and a special technique showing you how to add shimmer to your projects! This class is from 11-4, lunch included! Hello Stampers!

It was SO good to see some of you last Friday! Kisa and I always have so much fun with you! How cool was that box with the surprise magnet for the top? Kisa is brilliant.

I just wanted to share with you a couple cards I made with her new stamp set called Treasured Friend. Michelle has them in the store now. I also used Sandy Sunsets... which as you know is one of my very FAVORITE of all time stamp sets. Of course adding some Coffee Bean Sparkles and Sparkly Fluff always makes your cards more fun!

Here is another quick and easy card using the same set. We are using this stamp set for next class (date to be announced), so hurry down and sign up. I can't wait to see what Kisa cooks up, but I know you won't be disappointed.

Sneak Peeks from Our Craft Lounge

Our Craft Lounge has released their new Summer Release which should be landing at MOT this weekend! Sneak Peeks are going on now! Lots of summer images to pick from, including an adorable beach set from our very own Kisa Peters!

I'm so proud of Kisa... her first stamp set is amazing! Those girls are separate stamps, along with the frame, so the possibilities are endless! This set is called Treasured Friend... just like Kisa! I look forward to our class in June which will feature this set!

Tomorrow we share our class project for May (stamp set In Flight), which is scheduled for May 7th at 6:00 pm. Thank you so much for understanding and being so supportive this month. Hello Stampers! It's time for another OCL class with Cami and Kisa. You can sign up now, at Memories of Time. Class must be pre-paid by March 15th to attend this class. Sketch Challenge Reminder

This is just a quick post today because I wanted to remind you about the Sketch Challenge and share this card with you!! I hope it inspires you to play along!! I used the stamp sets Live, Laugh, Lounge and Spin Cycle from Our Craft Lounge. I used Copic Markers to color the image and Juicy Orange Sparkly Fluff for the pillow - and a mini brad for the button!

Here's what it says in the inside: I used Basic Gray - Lime Rickey Paper (Michelle has LOTS of BG in the store!), an EK Success border punch (It's the heart one that Cami doesn't have - I just covered up the hearts), and some Nestabilities. Following the sketch really made the card come together fast!!

Sunshine Cheer

Have you been down to Memories of Time lately? I finally got down there they other day and just about screamed (I didn't want to scare Kelsey on her first time meeting me). Michelle has SO many new EK Success punches in! I was screaming inside. After about 10 minutes trying to narrow down which ones I NEEDED.... I decided on three. LOOK AT THIS PRETTY NEW LARGE SCALLOP!! Doesn't it make you want to scream? I got one BEFORE Kisa! Neener neener!

The stamp set is a new release from Our Craft Lounge called Sunshine Cheer. The designer paper is from Imginisce called Lucy Bird (LOVE IT!). Those clouds are covered in Sugar Sparkly Fluff, and the Sunshine has some Lemon Crafty Sparkles on it. The cardstock is Bazzill. The Nestabilites die is from Spellbinders called Curved Rectangles. Run two dies through at the same time to make a little frame. It's popped up with foam dots. MOT carries it all!

Don't forget to use up those scrap pieces of paper for the inside of your cards. :)

Hey everyone, the show has come to an end. Day 4 went nice and easy. Michelle finished up the business she had to take care of and I took her to Long Beach for dinner. Everyone is going to love all the new stuff Michelle is bringing in. Start looking for us to schedule an open house in the store to showcase all the new products and ideas from the show. I will be starting to teach some Tim Holtz projects and techniques as well as some new digital/hybrid scrapbooking pages. See ya when we get home!!

CHA 2010 - DAY 3

Yep, we are still here, still lots to see and do. Michelle had some time with Tim Holtz making a Grunge Paper Flower (along with 100 other starstruck women) If you were ever wondered where Tim Holtz was in the building, you just had to look for the large group of women following him around..LOL. Michelle met with more reps, took a couple classes and had me look at some items by Ranger, Fancy Pants, 7 Gypsies and Imaginesce. I gave her my best feedback and went back to the hotel room and watched a surfing movie..lol. More tomorrow!!!

Hey everyone, here are some new shots from day 2 CHA Anaheim 2010. While Michelle was in classes and meeting with reps all day, I slept in a little then went over and spent some time with Cami and Kisa at their booth. 'Our Craft Lounge' was really hoppin' as they were demo-ing 'Copic Markers' and 'Sparkle Fluff'. They took a quick break so I could shoot a group shot of all the players. I covered a few more aisles on the floor and had a nice conversation with Patty 'The Digital Scrapbook Teacher'. She showed me some cool functions built into Photoshop Elements that I can teach in the next class if some of you are interested...lol. Here is the latest from CHA as we wander the aisles, we only covered about 1/4 of the tradeshow floor today and I snapped photos of the stuff Michelle told me to, and some stuff I even thought was pretty cool, here are the photos. Michelle is already putting together some orders for some really cool new stuff that you all will be looking forward to, I am sure. The 'DistreZZer' is something you all will love and want...LOL!!!! (I even thought it was cool, then I thought, why didn't I think of that???)
